Who are we?

Who are we

When we are alone in the room,

When we are not hiding behind pretence

And overlapping emotions
Who are we

When we have no one to impress

When we can go without suppressing our tongue

And let it speak whenever and whatever it wants.
Who are we

Behind that sparkling fabric we drape ourselves into,

Who are we behind that red lip shade.

Who are we when we are vulnerable

And that same little child we were born as,

Who are we without the heels we wear

Who are we without our evil affairs.
Who are we?
Who are we

When the lights are turned off for the night

Who are we

When we are left alone to our thoughts

And to our unseen side.
Who are we?

When nobody’s watching,

Who are we?

When we are not hiding any lies.
