The Lone Wolf

Covered in my own blood,

Quivering in pain –

Of my disrupted gut,

I sat in the empty room

Waiting for someone to unbolt the door…

But I found nobody there.
Dreaming of better days,

Down on the ocean floor

Wounded by the trust of the court…

I was sinking,

Waiting for the lifeguard to appear,

But I found nobody there.
My existence scattered over the dismantled rocks,

My dying eyes in search of a soul’s warmth.

Left to die a slow lonesome death,

I cry for a hand to save me –

From this dark life-sucking wreath…

But sadly, I find nobody here.
