Decay

Fondness sealed with a kiss,
It started with a promise forever.
But the roses died,
And the grains of our love turned black.
I tried spells,
And even the impossible to reanimate it…
But nothing could layoff the decay.
And thus the grains turned black,
And love faded away.

  1. It evoked sorrow from such depth in my heart! The beautiful thing about love is that if it sustains, it becomes a poet’s delight and if it fails, the delight in the poet’s heart remains much the same! Either cases give rise to poetry more beautiful than the love itself!
