I always write sad verses they say,
It saddens them, makes their mood gloomy and gray.
But melancholy has become an unwanted part of my life,
Neither can I detach it, nor can slay it with a knife.
Like a shadow it moves along where ever I go,
And at times when it grips me, sad verses then flows.
Like a rejuvenating channel… sudden changes it brings,
And bound to follow it, along its rhythm I sing.
I wish to to feel the Spring, to see the flowers and greens,
To dance and fly around, write new hopes and dreams.
Nevermind today, but Someday the sun will shine,
The blank pages will be splashed with colours, and on my face with spread a smile.
